Bred by Louisa Taylor at Great Brockhamhurst Stud, Dolly Daydream is a striking, intelligent  and sociable  young palomino mare who has graced us with her presence since Sunday 6th April 2014.

Dolly stands at about 15.3hh; I am  now classed as a “mature” lady,  on a good day I stand at 5ft 2ins and I am  still building strength following  a leg injury several years ago  so we are gently establishing the “ground rules” first and she is proving to be a very smart, quick learner.  Having a round pen close to her new friends helps these “getting to know you” in-hand sessions run very smoothly.

Dolly  has some issues with her mouth so we’re going back to basics with her ridden schooling and intend to spend plenty of time out hacking on the farm to help her  relax. There will be regular – perhaps not quite daily – posts  recording our life together and I hope you find them interesting.
